An apostle from Enugu NIgeria has been in the Chicagoland area for two weeks. His name is Edward M. Ezenwafor. He has been to several churches where the Lord Jesus Christ has displayed His power. He has been instrumental in planting over 400 churches. One of the pioneers of the Nigrian move of God still being experienced, has is man of God who has been doing this work ofr forty years. Thousands have been healed when this man declares the testimonyof Jesus Christ.

At the AACTEV8 seminar he caused our hearts to burn with the fire of the Holy spirit and many were healed restored and received impartation for signsa and wonders. we had over sixty ministers and Christian workers in attendance. Wayne Johnson who is a giftedf and anointed Evagleist and teacher also brought the word and the glory of the Lord fell upon us manifested in healings. At Truth and Deliverance on the West Side of Chicago, many were healed and restored as the tesimony of Jesus Christ was shared. Apostle Edward and Ogbonnaya have been minisering in Churches and experiencing gthe power of God in America like bnever before.

When I was in Bible College and Seminary I took apologetic, we looked at the different ways in which believers have tried to defend Christianity from the time of the apostles to the present day apologists.  What struck me and still strikes me as odd is how much of the emphasis of these defense are based on what happened or the historical documentary evidence. It also struck me that this bibliographic and “historical evidences”  do not have much evidence to convince the true spiritual seeker of the power of the  gospel. There was this sub-text of affirmation of the historical miracles but a denial of present possibility. There was this marshalling of evidence for the ressurection of the Lord Jesus Christ and the raising of the dead by the Lord and Master but a gnawing skepticism which tacitly denied the possibility of any miracle of  raising the dead today.  

But that kind of apology will not do in the next wave of the gospel. The apostles did not just say Jesus rose from the dead but demonstrated His living spirit by signs and wonders. They did not just say, “Jesus healed the sick”, they went out and healed the sick in the name of Jesus. They did not just say “Jesus opened blind eyes”, they went out and opened blind eyes in His Name. It is not enough to spout historical bibliographic evidence but the same evidence must be presented in people’s lives. The modern man is now like the so-called primitive man in that having seeing technological wonders he wants to experience God first hand. The world is waiting to see the evidence of the power in our preaching and our apologetics. Can Jesus Heal today? Our response must be an unequivocal Yes. we must say like John “That which was in the beginning, which we have heard, which we hae seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled of the word of life . . . that which we have seen and heard, declare we unto you that you may have fellowhsip with the us, truly our fellowship is with the father and with His Son Jesus Christ” (jn 1:1-3) If we have fellowship with real persons and not just with ideas then the evidence must be clear in the lives of the powpl who touch him. Then we must proceed to show that He does heal today. What those of us who come from Africa have learnt is that evidential Christiantiy is more than just words, it is the “now” manifestation of the power that raised Jesus Christ from the dead operating in us today and confounding the power of this world’s darkness. We were just in a church in Chicago Illinois where the Pastor whom I mentor was having problem with the church. We went there and preached the Lord Jesus Christ and then told them that He can still do what he did in the bible days. People came up and were healed. A man’s eyes were healed instantly, a woman who couldn’t walk began walking by the power of the Lord Jesus Christ Knees, hips, stomachs pains left at the call of the name of Jesus. He wants to use believers to bring evidence of his power to modern man who in spirit is below the premodern man. He can use you now to show His resurrection power. Peaople galdy surrendered their lives to Christ rejoicing in his power to heal and restore. In our mission work we have seen the deaf ears unstopped, tumors disappear, kings of the land have vision of the Lord in his power and fall down on their knees and surrender to our King. This is evidence that commands surrender. The Gospel of the last days must be that of power encounter not head encounter.

Our missions to West Virginia was trememdous in February of 2008. we had a three day revival meeting at Oak Hill Church of God. We also ministered in Lewsiburg and in Charleston. The Spirit of Jesus was there in love to perform many miracles, sings and wonders. Here a man who had been blind in one eye for many years received sight in the eye, a young girl who had been deaf for eleven years received her hearing, a aman hwo had tumor in his throat and coudl not sing was healed instantly adn began to sing with a beautiful voice. many were healed of hip and feet ailments. backs were straigthened. We prayed a for a child that had been in the hospital for months and the next day received healing. Many received signs and wonders, reported of having heavenly visitation. The spirit of prophesy was strong and people hurt were revealed and ministered to by the Spirit of Jesus Christ. Spuernatural Healings that we experienced in America in these days, we have only seen very few of such move in the USA for twentyfive years we have been in North America. We know that God is visiting the United Staes in a new way. A might manifestation of the Glory of the Lord is coming. Kill the pessimism, stop the speech of hopelessness, God is visiting this nation. It shall come from the most unlikely places. Jesus loves America.

The Day of the Native Americans is Here. They will begin to have vision of my resurrection my ascension and my coming. Behold i have released my Angels into their homestead and their families, I will cleanse them of the blood sickness, I shall raise them up in these last days and they shall be my people. I will place upon them my mantle of prayer and they shall stand upon Mount zion shoulder to shoulder with my people. I will sprinkle clear water upon their race. There shall be drums of joy. I the LORD GOD of Israel who gave my Son will do it that my son’s death will be glorified in them. My people open your doors to receive my children back. There  is celebration in the heavens, a new song is now being song, it is called praise song of the new land, a song which ws cut short in those days, you shall hear the  flutes of miracle, and the drumbeats of joy and myriad voices of jubilant chants. I am making my salvation come near. Open your eyes my church. These shall lead you with joyful sings of the restored into my glorious presence as you have never know. There shall be harmony of hearts.

The Navahos, I shall cause them to navigate a new terrain of spirituality vitality through my shed blood. I shall cause them to become interpreters of the heavenly signals for the healing of the land.

You came into this world with My perfect Goodwill, you are the result of the bountiful, beneficence overflowing goodwill of My Eternal Name YHVH, the I AM.”

 I placed you above all forms of life on this plane existence. I the Lord God I AM in you adequately functioning in all things, My self sufficiency is your sufficiency, because I AM, you lack nothing, containing ME,  the I AM, you contain all that is good. I have valued you above angels, principalities, powers, yea all that are called gods in this world. Therefore I make them servants of your continuous salvation. My power, my dunamis is in you to shatter the chains of iron and to break down walls; My authority, yes my exorcizing authority I have given to you my child, my image, my likeness, my creative act is in you. You are my image. All created things respond to my image in you. They wait for the manifestation of that image even now. By ME your soul is raised high above principalities and powers. My children know this and affirm this “Because of my I AM, my Father, my Jesus, my lot is blessed, my life is beatified, my provisions overflow.” My beneficence is overflowing even now into your hearts, homes and businesses. “My bountifulness” saith the LORD “is breaking through into an inundating flood of provision even in the midst of what may seem to be your end of the rope, I AM HE that raises you.”

 “Even as I called Lazarus, I am calling forth my church. I am calling forth sons and daughters who have died from despair, from sorrow from disappointments, from lack of care. I restoring backslidden children.  In their graves they shall hear the trumpet sound of my voice and come forth. I am the Lord, I will unify my body, I will begin by harmonizing and unifying of the families of my people. I, the Messiah the Holy One of Israel, Am causing harmonious sound to go through your body, your business, a flow of happiness, healing. Here is the harvest of heavenly advocacy, holiness and honor flowing into your being. I AM the Way, walk in me and you shall not stumble. I AM the Truth speak with my mouth and hear with my ears and you shall escape the deception. I AM the Life, enjoy it and you will not die the death. I give you life. These floods that have come to your life in the natural, look my child and see hear the voices a million angels singing and dancing for the great things I am about to do, the waters of my love is washing over you, I am giving water to those in the wilderness. America will no longer be a wilderness, for I will pour abundance of rain upon her as in her former days, signs and wonders, as has never been seen in this land of the free.

What then, I say, is crying? Is it merely the release of moisture to the orifice called eye? Is it not the release of the enclosed spring within the soul which seeks for a way to water you and in doing so releases you from yourself? “The sacrifice of God are a broken spirit: A broken and a contrite heart O Lord thou will not despise.” (Psalm 51:17) Maybe most of our pain is the result of our trying to be tough. Pain is felt more where there is no brokenness. Brokenness toward God is not weakness but a tapping into the power and love of God. For just as substances pass through that which is broken so the anger of God passes through that heart which is broken by His Spirit. In passing through the broken and contrite heart it leaves the residue of the power and love of God. The fire of the anger of God is overcome and rendered passive in the broken heart so that we can be malleable in the hands of the porter. It is better then, to be broken by repentance than to be broken by the anger of God. God does not only want us to be broken but to be contrite which is to be grounded into fine. In the process of being broken and being ground to fine we are then put in a place where we avoid the anger of God and at the same time become receptacle of his mercy in which we are then re-formed according to His will and drink from the river of compassion flowing from the heart of His Son Jesus Christ. When we get to this place then we are ready for missions. Here we begin to understand the heart of God for a dying world. JESUS WEPT. That brokenness releases the power of resurrection and raises the dead into newness of life.

VANITY OF VANITIES

Now I know what qoheleth (the writer of Ecclesiastes) meant in his musings “vanity of vanities all is vanities.” We must all move into the vast ocean of understanding that we are nothing in the least without God. Actually nothing is everything. In truth there is no such thing really as nothing. For less has always been more. It is in dying that we live again. It is in losing ourselves that we find our true nature. Just as God who is not seen is all there is, so a man who must know God must cease to be. In this sense I disagree with the existentialist philosophers who seem to think that existence is greater essence.

For the very ungraspable nature of the essences are what makes them the propelling factor of all that truly is. The mere fact that they cannot be seen gives them their reality. Their disappearance or nonappearance is the very “essence of their power.” Thus we come to the idea that nothingness of the nothingness is nothing and this nothing is “All. And God as “Not-a-thing”  as nothing that you have ever known God is the very precision of everything you will ever know. Man comes from God and into it this Being must return or else to live what we in our ignorance call LIFE.

This thing which we call life  is indeed an illusion not in the sense that it is not but in the sense that it is and as that which is it deludes us and causes us to be caught in the fleeting rather than in the enduring. For too many of us the ‘now’ is a snare that misleads and destroys us. For in seeking to feed it we revel in insanity. Here then is the issue the present is not, and the past has not been nor will the future be. Thus we stand in the eye of the eternal and therein does self see self.
